Typically, companies use two types of staff—either their own employees or a temporary workforce. In today’s economic environment, fewer firms are adding employees to their payroll and instead are using temporary workers to meet their expanded workloads.
Because these temporary workers are managed by the company issuing the work and not by the temp firm placing them, companies using temporary workers must fully abide by the co-employment regulations set forth by the IRS. These regulations can be daunting and have limitations that inhibit the companies who use temporary staffing. Such limitations include the 12-month maximum time frame for temporary employees as well as the 20 Factor Test that the IRS established to determine whether or not a contingent worker should really be considered an employee. This has resulted in major corporations going to great lengths to meet the 20 Factor criteria and train temporary employees only to have them leave the company 12 months later, forcing them to start the process over again with a new temp to fill the same position. In addition, companies run the risk of the temporary employment leaving before their 12-month contract expires in order to pursue his or her next job.

In addition, we adjust the length of term to meet your needs. With our model, you typically contract with us for two to five years (with appropriate escape clauses), but if needed, the term of service can last up to 10 years.
